What she works on

What does Mercy Zechariah work on?

Mercy works across two connected spheres: the marketplace and ministry. In the marketplace she helps organisations build AI-ready workforces and helps professionals develop the capability to create value in an AI-driven economy; in ministry she leads formation and Kingdom influence through I AM Global Christian Centre and Warriors Arise.

Faith calls people to responsibility. Leadership is stewardship. Excellence gives conviction a credible form, and preparation is one way we honour the future entrusted to us.

“What must we become, and what must we build, if we are going to be ready for the future God has entrusted to us?”

The question that has shaped a life and a work.

A Life Built Around Stewardship

Mercy is first a woman of faith.

Her Christian conviction is not something she separates from her professional or intellectual life. It is the foundation from which she approaches leadership, work, family, technology, influence and service.

She is the Founder and Lead Pastor of I AM Global Christian Centre (IGCC), a community helping people live out their faith at the intersection of real life, particularly students, young professionals and emerging leaders.

She is the vision carrier behind Warriors Arise, a movement raising a generation who are spiritually grounded, courageous, disciplined and prepared to take responsibility for their world.

She serves as Chaplain of the Covenant University Alumni Association (CUALA), providing spiritual oversight and leadership to alumni across the CUALA community. Under the chaplaincy, she hosts Eagles In Ministry, an annual meeting for alumni in ministry to be mentored and impacted by Bishop David Oyedepo.

For Mercy, spiritual formation and leadership formation belong together. A person cannot sustainably lead institutions they have not learned to lead themselves.

Building Leaders, Not Just Audiences

Influence must ultimately be accountable to stewardship.

Much of Mercy's work has centred on leadership, developing people who can think beyond immediate success and assume responsibility for people, organisations, communities and nations.

Her convictions are simple: character matters, competence matters, excellence matters, preparation matters, and influence must ultimately be accountable to stewardship.

She builds frameworks and resources that move people from inspiration to implementation: from potential to capability, from individual ambition to meaningful contribution.

Her work increasingly focuses on readiness, whether individuals and institutions possess the capabilities, systems, resources and resilience to navigate a rapidly changing world.

From Leadership to Institutional Readiness

Building readiness infrastructure for the future.

Mercy's strategic work has evolved from conventional consulting toward a larger ambition: building readiness infrastructure for the future.

As the world enters an era defined by artificial intelligence, technological disruption and institutional fragility, she believes simply adopting new technology is not enough. Institutions need the underlying capacity to use it well, with capable people, governed data, resilient operations, clear decision systems and responsible leadership.

This sits at the heart of ARETE Global Leadership Consulting, the organisation she founded, now evolving toward readiness infrastructure for institutions navigating the future: workforce readiness, AI readiness, operational resilience and sovereign capability.

She is the builder of SAGE, a live institutional readiness and operational-debt diagnostic platform, alongside a live ecosystem of tools (Scout, Nova, Sovereign and Echo) built around different dimensions of institutional intelligence and transformation.

Africa's Readiness for 2030

Not merely consume the future, but build the capacity to shape it.

One of Mercy's defining areas of focus is Africa's readiness for 2030.

She is interested not merely in whether African organisations will adopt AI and emerging technologies, but whether they will possess the institutional capability to benefit from them without becoming dependent, vulnerable or strategically irrelevant.

Her work examines the deeper infrastructure beneath technological transformation: people, systems, capital, visibility, governance, resilience and capability.

Her ambition is not to help Africa merely consume the future, but to help build the capacity to shape it.

The Ideas Behind the Work

Readiness is built deliberately, in the order you need it.

Mercy is a framework builder, developing practical intellectual models that help people and institutions make sense of complex problems and turn intention into capability.

The RICH framework (Realign, Integrate, Create and Harness) is the heart of the 2030 Practice: a four-pillar framework for building real readiness, not merely acquiring assets.

Each person's RICH path is matched to their individual assessment results. Someone who is Visionary Without Infrastructure begins at Realign; someone who is Experienced Invisible begins at Create, and so on. The assessment comes first, so RICH meets you where your actual gap is.

The principle is simple: do not merely know about the future, build the capacity to meet it.

Author and Communicator

You have been entrusted with something. Become capable of carrying it.

Mercy is an author and communicator. Her writing explores faith, identity, leadership, courage and the formation of people capable of carrying significant assignments.

Her work includes Warrior in Heels and Boots, a leadership philosophy that refuses to force women to choose between strength and femininity, conviction and grace, faith and ambition, or leadership and humanity.

Whether speaking to teenagers, mentoring emerging leaders or advising institutions, her communication returns to one idea: you have been entrusted with something. Become capable of carrying it.

Wife. Mother. Woman of Faith.

Family is one of the first places leadership is tested.

Behind the strategist, pastor, author and builder is a woman deeply committed to the ordinary responsibilities of life. Mercy is a wife and mother.

Marriage and motherhood have deepened rather than diminished her understanding of leadership, reinforcing her conviction that leadership begins with stewardship of what is closest to us before it extends to what is larger.

How we love, serve, build a home, raise children and steward time, money and opportunity are not peripheral matters. They are part of the formation required to carry greater influence.

Her ambition is not simply to build a remarkable public life, but to build a life that remains whole.
